Feedback

Congratulations on finishing this course! You’ve taken a great first step to your future and built a solid foundation of knowledge. You are now well on your way to your desired career in the military.

Testing registration

To sign up for the test, contact your local recruiter.

Additional information

  • There is no cost to take the ASVAB.
  • You CANNOT USE A CALCULATOR on the ASVAB, and accommodations are NOT permitted.
  • If you “fail” the ASVAB, you must wait 30 days to retest. If you fail a second time, you must wait an additional 30 days. If you fail a third time, you must wait 6 months to retest. Plan to make each attempt count!
  • Your “passing” score is determined by your military branch. Contact your recruiter to confirm the score you need.

Tips

  • Work carefully and pace yourself. Because the test is adaptive, missing too many questions can affect how far you get before time runs out.
  • Write down your math. Since many people are used to relying on a calculator, it helps to work through your steps on paper.
  • Sketch geometry problems. A quick diagram often makes relationships and measurements easier to see.

Dump sheet

Many test takers use “dump sheets” as study supplements and as a guide for the exam. Dump sheets typically include visual guides and summarized notes of important test topics. As the name suggests, you memorize key items to help you retain important topics for exam day.
