Achievable also includes scoring and question categorization data for 10+ official ACT exams.
Achievable's ACT practice exams allow you to experience what it's like to take the ACT on test day. Whereas the review quizzes are primarily focused on helping you learn the material, our exams have similar topic weightings and phrasing that you can expect on the actual exam.
Achievable uses dynamic question templates to create multiple unique versions of a question. We intelligently randomize the question prompt, answer, distractors, and explanation. A single question template can have hundreds of variations, ensuring that you thoroughly understand the concept and aren't just remembering an answer you've seen previously.
In the ACT English section, you'll answer 75 editing-based multiple choice questions in 45 minutes. You'll be given five essays or passages to read and edit, with each question asking you to choose the correct grammar and punctuation. You'll be tested on grammar mechanics, rhetoric skills, and writing organization.
In the ACT math section, you'll answer 60 multiple-choice math questions in 60 minutes. The math section tests your knowledge of basic arithmetic and algebra, geometry, linear functions, exponents, statistics and probability, and a little bit of trigonometry. You can (and should) use a graphing calculator on this section.
You can take as many practice ACT math exam sections as you'd like. We generate each practice section semi-randomly with a distribution of questions you're likely to encounter on the real exam. Thanks to our advanced randomization algorithms, even when seeing the same question template, you'll be presented with different numbers and choices, ensuring each test gives you a fresh challenge.
In the ACT reading section, you'll answer 40 multiple-choice questions in 35 minutes. The reading section contains four separate reading passages, each covering different subject material. You'll read each passage and answer ten questions quizzing you on the main idea, specific details, inferences and assumptions, and rhetorical style.
In the ACT science section you'll answer 40 multiple-choice, evidence-based questions. Like the reading section, the science section is also 35 minutes long. On this section you'll carefully interpret data and research summaries from six scientific passages or case studies. You are not permitted to use a calculator on the ACT science section.
